Description - I was immediately struck by the colour: instead of the bright red we usually associate with strawberries, these strawberries have an attractive, creamy-white exterior. As the strawberries ripen, the mellow ivory colour skin develops a glorious pink blush, which is complemented by speckles of red from the small seeds dotted all over the fruit.

They have a slight pineapple-like aroma, although the fragrance is not as intense as that of other varieties. The translucent flesh has a firm and crisp texture, with a wonderful bite. The sweetness is rich but not overpowering – I’d say that, out of 10, they have a 6.5 level of sweetness.

They do not have the strongest strawberry flavour, but I did detect divine hints of vanilla, which will make them the ideal ingredient for use in dessert recipes!

In fact, chefs and bartenders love these strawberries, as their eye-catching appearance and gentle fruity flavour makes them glorious additions to a range of sweet and savoury dishes.

For example, bartenders often use them as cocktail garnishes, and pastry chefs popularly use them as delicate decorations.

Storage – For the best flavour, store your strawberries in refrigeration.

Rating - 7/10, they look and taste fantastic, but they don’t have the rich strawberry flavour found in other varieties.
